Hallandale-Based Pricester.com Offers Charities Free E-Commerce Websites

HALLANDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 2004--Pricester.com, a Hallandale-based Internet marketplace website, is offering charities and non-profits a free fully functional e-commerce website enabling them to establish a completely functional online retail presence with no upfront costs or investment.
"One of our goals is to help charitable organizations raise money," said Bernard Gutman, Pricester.com's Chairman of the Board. "Therefore, we are offering 1,000 charities and non-profits anywhere in America the full potential of online retailing where they can sell their products or services on Pricester.com. Not only is this a great opportunity to generate additional revenue but Pricester.com, Inc. proudly gives back 10% of their net profits to charity."

Through these websites, completely setup by Pricester.com, merchandise can be viewed and selected, shopping carts filled (included at no cost is a shopping cart which is tied into a national payment system named PayPal, which allows the website to receive payments from Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express cards), credit card transactions executed, orders automatically confirmed, shipping tracked, and returns authorized and recorded. According to Gutman, the charitable organizations will avoid paying hosting fees or specialized transaction processing and tracking programming costs. The only cost to the charity or non-profit will be a one to four percent charge on all merchandise sold.

Pricester.com will format the texts for all of the website pages and integrate the organizations information, logo and banners, as well as set up payment systems and easy to use order tracking systems.

The program also includes:

-- Instructions on how to request donated items from their members and community.

-- How to list the collected items on their e-commerce enabled website.

-- How to market these items to the Pricester.com worldwide community and to their local members and community.

-- Learn various forms of selling items including Standard sale, Auction Sale and even Trading for something their organization needs.

"The full potential on online retailing is enormous," continued Gutman. "While American consumers in the final quarter of 2003, the busiest retail period of the year, spent $17.2 billion buying goods online, this represents a miniscule 1.9 percent of total retail sales for the period.

"With 204 million people now having access to the Internet, such scant online retail sales can't be a function of a shortage of consumers. The fact is that despite a decade of optimistic growth projections, the full potential of retail e-commerce is still restrained by a lack of 'e-tailers' available online."

Non-profits and charities may apply for the free website offer by visiting http://www.pricester.com/nonprofit.
