THUS Selects Nortel Networks to Converge Voice, Data for New VoIP Services

Holiday In Wales LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2004--THUS plc, a UK national alternate operator, has selected Nortel Networks (NYSE:NT)(TSX:NT) to provide the latest softswitch technology to enable it to deliver richer IP (Internet Protocol) based services to enterprise customers of all sizes in the United Kingdom.
Nortel Networks will supply products from its Succession VoIP communications portfolio that will be fully integrated with THUS's existing MPLS-based data services.

Some cost savings are due to using a single network to carry voice and data, utilized network capacity they can use for VoIP at no additional cost.
