He also heads up Carlson Leisure Group`s travel franchise company, Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates, Inc. Batt reports to Marilyn Nelson, chief operating officer, Carlson Companies, Inc. Since 1995, Batt was executive vice president, Sales & Marketing, Alamo Rent-A-Car in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. While there he was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing for the car rental giant, and was part of a new senior management team. Previously, Batt was director, Marketing, British Airways where he was responsible for all advertising and promotion, product development and delivery of service standards (1994-1987). He was a leader in the airline`s development of industry leading product offerings. Prior to British Airways, Batt had a 12-year tenure with the Mars Company, in various sales and marketing positions. Batt is a native of the United Kingdom and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Materials from the University of Wales. 7/97.
